What do you do when you need a new car? Well luckily for me it was January and just in time for the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. It is the best place to visit to try different types of model and I was trying to find the perfect car for me.
I am a car girl. I like sharp, fast, sporty, practical to take customers out and of course and kid friendly. So how do you find that type of car? I walked up to the Mercedes display and I saw this beautiful black and orange Mercedes CL 250. It was black with orange details and had the most amazing lines. The “Orange Package” was brand-new for Mercedes. Apparently each Mercedes dealership only received one. The seats have orange racing stripes and their is orange stitching in the leather and throughout the interior. I knew this was the car for me. It was different, sporty, functionable and bad ass.
But, it’s not American-made and I was afraid of buying a Mercedes, since I knew nothing about the brand except that it was German. I pretty much was a GM or Ford girl. My husband loves his Jeep Wrangler, but I am a luxury car kind of girl. Unfortunately I don’t get any discounts and I must get a deal or discount to make this happen. So I hit up on my automotive friends to find the right deal and dealership. I reached out to a friend who said he bought a few cars from Mercedes-Benz Grand Blanc and to talk to his sales guy, Nick. After meeting with him he quoted me a price. I went over to the Rochester dealership to see if they had one and took it for a drive since Grand Blanc was a half hour away.
After waiting around for a while and not having the best of luck finding a friendly sales person, that made time for me, I finally test drove the car. Yep, fell in love with it immediately. The sales guy at Rochester finally gave me a price, which was much higher than Grand Blanc’s. After negotiating with Nick, I felt I got the right deal and a nice sales guy! I was so excited to think I could really be driving a Mercedes for $40K. I must say, it was one of the most pleasurable experiences I have had purchasing a vehicle. From the sales manager, finance lady, and Bailey the concierge, I need to give a shout out to Mercedes-Benz Grand Blanc dealership. Contact Matt Gary (810) 695-4400.
