Lelli’s of Auburn Hills
Lelli’s of Auburn Hills is a wonderful old-school Italian/steakhouse located on the South end of Auburn Hills, Michigan. I have been going to Lelli’s for years for business and pleasure. One of the things I love most is the service. Expect a 2 hour dinner with exceptional service and food.
Recently, we visited for our wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful server named Tyler. He was very polished and very energetic.
We started off with a nice bottle of Pinot Noir. As we were looking through the menu, we notice Lelli’s added a “Lelli’s traditional/Ala Carte”, depending how much you want to spend and eat. I love the traditional, which comes with an antipasto tray, salad, soup, spaghetti Bolognese and dessert. The Ala Carte is with twice baked mashed potatoes and french green beans. The house salad was delicious. The Minestrone soup is the best Minestrone I have ever had. It was creamy with tons of flavor. For $10 or an upgrade, you can choose table-side Caesar salad, where they make it special for you. The antipasto tray was good, but don’t expect too much, even though the shrimp were great, just small. My husband ordered the baked lasagna, which was out of this world. The lasagna was a good size portion with layers of spinach pasta and meat and palmina sauces. I had the amazing beef tenderloin wild mushroom. It was sliced and cooked perfect to my liking, medium. It came with a light sweet cream cognac sauce with wild mushrooms. I give it 10 1/2. Yummy.
Of course we had to have dessert. We ordered both the fruit sorbet and the spumoni, which came with the traditional meal. Both desserts were good size portions and melted in our mouths.
Lelli’s atmosphere is wonderful and building and decore are classy. The parking lot is not the best, but for just $3, you can valet park.
If your looking for an old school steakhouse/Italian restaurant, Lelli’s is a must. We have never been disappointed and look forward to our next visit.
